Replacing a membrane whose performance has fallen does not solve the problem, it only postpones it. The same pretreatment, the same operating conditions and the same chemical regime will bring a new membrane to the same point before long.
That is why we treat membrane replacement not as a standalone consumable job but as part of a system analysis: trends in differential pressure, conductivity and flow usually point clearly to the cause of the damage.
Quoting a single figure would be misleading; service life depends on raw water quality, the performance of the pretreatment and the cleaning discipline. Periodic inspection data indicates the replacement window in advance.
