Reverse osmosis membranes have a service life; they degrade with the volume of water produced and the hours run, and eventually need replacing.
When selecting replacements for degraded membranes we work from membrane pressure modelling, rejection surface area and permeate flow projections. The choice depends on the raw water analysis, the target conductivity and the array configuration.
